How We Work

Through the efforts of the task groups, the ACS NNRT support initiatives that focus on advancing health equity and reducing disparities through evidenced based, sustainable patient navigation services across the cancer continuum,  provided by a trained workforce and supported through effective legislative and organizational policies.

ACS NNRT Task Groups

The work of the NNRT will be implemented through Task Groups. Each Task Group will plan, implement and evaluate projects that further the mission of the ACS NNRT. Task Groups not only include the official representative membership of the ACS NNRT, but they also engage experts from partner organizations to contribute on collaborative projects.

Each organization with two membership seats on the ACS NNRT has a unique opportunity to contribute across multiple areas of ACS NNRT’s work. To help maximize collective impact and ensure balanced representation, we encourage organizations to engage across different Task Groups rather than within the same one.

This approach amplifies your organization’s voice across key ACS NNRT initiatives, fosters cross-collaboration among workstreams, and promotes a more equitable distribution of expertise. It also helps prevent redundancy and allows more organizations to participate meaningfully—an increasingly important consideration as interest in Task Group involvement continues to grow.
