Oncology patient navigation is a vital part of quality cancer care, and the need for consistent guidance across roles and care settings continues to grow. To address this need, the Professional Oncology Navigation Task Force (PONT) developed the Oncology Navigation Standards of Professional Practice, establishing evidence-based competencies, roles, and responsibilities for oncology navigators.
To help organizations and professionals apply these standards in practice, the ACS NNRT Workforce Development Task Group created the Professional Standards in Oncology Navigation Infographic. This practical resource supports workforce development, program implementation, professional growth, and the delivery of patient-centered navigation services across the cancer continuum.
